Captured

A word does stir within my heart

A warning from The Christ

Be careful of nets skillfully sown

A web of deceitful might.

Assignments launched in flesh colored skins

Sent to stall your move

Patient and kind to natural eyes

But controlled by hellish rooms.

If careful not to discern this plot

You’ll wake to find someday

That you were captured by a net

That looked a bit like “grace.”

The angel of light that comes to lend

A hand in your time of need

Perhaps is robed in Satan’s cloak

With motives remaining unseen.

A flattering tongue was a rope that hung

A gallows set for you

Dividing your land and God given hands

Sent to re-route you.

You must sift well with the Spirit of God

Discern with spiritual sight

For in your midst are Hell-sent mimes

Sent to capture your very life.
