It’ll be at the edge of reason that you find God’s higher ways. That place where you can no longer explain what He just did or make any natural sense of it all.
Many live in the place of reason, today, where God is as small as we are and works everything out like a perfectly calculated mathematical equation.
We forget that He is the author of all hosts, gravity, dimension, galaxies, and the Maker of every finite human organ, cell, and all it takes to live and breathe.
He doesn’t care much that we always need some kind of human reason that explains Him away.
It’s more of a cause for a holy grin when He watches men’s plans.
Plans void of divine direction, divine inquiry, or even divine permission.
I’ve seen many a plan go up in smoke because it was built on my own altar rather than on His.
The angelic host sent at times to guard us might seem a bit “much” for you, but I promise you that if you’ll go read the scriptures for yourself you’ll find it is true.
Beyond the edge of reason are deep waters full of heavenly wisdom that far surpass any of our human ability to comprehend.
Waving off the supernatural ways of God might leave you in a self-built bind when you’re in a predicament that has only a miracle remedy.
When our dear Bible is at home, and we find ourselves wandering into a scary place, do we still believe the God of the Bible can drop a word of knowledge in our Spirit right there that gets us out of that danger zone?
I should hope so. Otherwise, whatever will you do?
If what you’ve gained is only knowledge, you might be found in a worrisome place. Knowledge is powerless without the relational component of the heart of the King.
We surely must reason the scriptures yet know fully that beyond the edge of reason are mysteries we cannot likely account for except that Holy Spirit brings divine revelation.
The Kingdom is God is a supernatural Kingdom.
Knowing the heart of God is as significant as knowing the Word of God. One without the other can be used to cause the murdering of God’s people…ask Jesus.
But if we’re really willing to devote time to Him in pray and worship, reading and studying, and tarrying for that sweet Holy Ghost power that we all need then we might see a fullness of the King that we better understand…
Even when it’s beyond the edge of reason.
Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
(Jeremiah 33:3)
