I get that we live in a world that is curious about everyone’s daily life-right down to what we had for dinner last night.
However…
I’m afraid often we video everything we do not because we are exalting God but because we are exalting self.
The hidden heart motive is all about “being seen.”
It’s something Jesus doesn’t really give honor to.
All manner of moments meant to be private are now on the big screen for all the world to see.
It was never meant to be that way, friends. Don’t fall for it.
Some meetings are too intimate with hearts to be broadcasted publicly.
Some intimate moments in our lives are meant to be beautiful, yet private. The mere definition of intimate is “personal and private.”
At some point we must protect hearts.
Hearts that may not desire to be seen and hearts that shouldn’t be seeing.
It really boils down to loving others more than we love ourselves, as well as a deep honoring of the Lord’s heart.
We have fallen into a generation of the church that thinks God needs marketing schemes to fulfill His plan. We think that our vast amount of videos of our daily walk and ministries are critical to fulfill our own destiny.
The casting of the net Jesus speaks of was often quiet and private. He was focused on people.
I’m certainly not opposed to that which feeds people but sometimes we ought to simply focus on who is in the room rather than who is not.
