When God gives a vision one must be so careful to keep it well protected. This pine tree was once a tall beautiful pine tree when I first began to come walk in my secret place. But today, I turn the corner to see all manners of mixed tree limbs, ivy, and vines crowding its original frame.
This very often is the tactic of the enemy. God gives a vision and over time, we allow that vision to be changed by circumstance, human desires, opinions of others, and messengers of Satan.
Do not for one minute think the enemy has not assigned some workers to you and your Heavenly vision.
Yes, at times, God only gives us the small vision to start and we are unsure of the tomorrow’s that follow but often we dare to measure all decisions and turns to that which originally was breathed by the Lord.
My zeal and creativity can often drain the vision God gives. Whether in finances or physical strength, if I give to something not meant to be part of His vision then the enemy will successfully siphon off funds and strength that were meant for what God originally spoke.
Sometimes, Gods vision for us gets hijacked. Mainly because we are afraid to stand firm on that which was entrusted to us in the beginning. Because we dislike confrontation, we too often hand over our land to, forfeiting what God spoke to us to accomplish.
Often, it seems right and we may never understand the depth of our own deception until God decides to intervene… for His vision is still His … and He will fight for it. Attached to this vision of yours are hearts in need. It’s why He birthed this vision… and you are the one He has put in charge of it. No one else.
Certainly there are times when God speaks a change. In this many counselors makes you wise. Your team ought to be in prayer with you to assure He confirms any new directions. Our humanness gets restless at times and our hearts will deceive us to move out when God has not yet spoken. We need others who can agree or plead with us to remain in prayer that they feel a warning within. Trusted allies for the battle will be necessary in fulfilling the vision.
When in doubt, I’m learning to wait. Yet, at times there is a raging war to pursue. Only Christ can tell the David’s to “go pursue, I will give you the land.” His voice must be heard and sought for.
Protect the vision, friends, that you do fulfill that which Christ desires. Keep your pine tree (vision) free of that which will smother its intended life. Ask God to begin clearing away all things not planted by Him and to make the crooked paths straight.
When necessary, ask Him for any needed U-turns…. and go reclaim the land.
Love Much,
