There’s coming a wave like nothing we’ve seen

Where all is exposed that’s behind the scenes

Where justice is mute and the Word is misused

For Christ He is coming to vindicate the abused.

 

His heart it is righteous, His throne a holy place

And where sin is hidden and the sheep are disgraced

Like the hole in Ezekiel and like Amos he still cries

Coming is judgment to purge now the bride.

 

Be careful of distortion where the enemy has masked

Calling what’s good and righteous to task

For never is wickedness hidden from view

And if we do cover it we shall stand accused.

 

Call into question the enemy who twists

Right into wrong; use wisdom and sift.

For there’s coming a wave of justice indeed

The House of the Lord Christ will scrub clean.

 

In the old days a warning was breathed

“I despise your feast days and sacred assemblies

Take away all your songs and melodic strings

Let justice roll down as water set free.”

 

Righteousness must be like a mighty stream

To the God of recompense is such an offering

There’s coming a wave of justice indeed

Be sure you do fall on the side of the King.
