Wow. It has been a busy month. When the Lord gets ready to birth or re-birth, it can be a bit crazy…good. I have found great joy lately in watching again young faces as the light bulb goes off in their hearts. I am seeing God helping me and the team with practical ways to help them understand the scriptures and what often is overlooked. Truly, they teach me. This morning I am overwhelmed with tears as I write this because His heart is so gracious to me. With areas of deep lack, He secures me in His heart. I am reminded of my fellow brethren, David and even Elijah. Certainly there were moments of victory and others of what seemed like utter failure. Yet, the Lord still used them tremendously. How very kind He is.
In this season, He has challenged me to raise my voice against injustices in our midst. I never realized the significance of justice to Him before this very season. He has used our Where the Heart Heals group of women to teach me His heart for the hurting. He has caused us to look again at His Word and to see where we may have perhaps misspoken on His behalf. This is the season for the restoration of voices who have been pushed into seasons of unjust submission and painful trials where they thought their dreams and lives were over. Yet, Christ truly does recover all your stolen property. While Satan seems to win for a season, Christ is often preparing for a resurrection.
I’ve seen His simplicity in the new magazine of His Word in a way that the youth (and older) will understand. I am starting to understand why He used parables so often in His Word. Often, we fail to see how He speaks to His audiences in a language they understand. It’s most amazing to me. His love can cross all barriers.
As the Lord has called me to write poems for the women of Jacobs Well Recovery Center as they graduate, I am amazed at the unique way He loves on them each. Their names have great significance, and in order for me to write for them His heart, I’ve had to learn to study His word deeply to glean His heart for them. In this, has been little effort for me. His Spirit merely breathes and I am learning more and more to trust what I hear. He is so patient.
Moving into 2019 soon, we have some things on our hearts for the new year. While God has brought Jan Thompson, LPC to begin counseling wounded women, He has also brought Breckett Wilson to help in many areas. This has helped us to expand serving the women. So now we are able to offer not only a monthly support group but also personal counseling with a licensed counselor. This is so critical for their healing. Both have a deep love for people and serve well. It is wonderful to see God moving in each of us to accomplish His heart and plan. I am seeing so clearly the power in a multi-gifted team. We absolutely need each other to fulfill God’s purpose. He is truly expanding to the right and to the left.
A few projects in the works are a book we are preparing and publishing by Candy Rentz called The Voice of a Child. Her story is one of childhood abuse, yet Christ has brought her out victoriously. We all felt the nudge to help launch her story so others could be offered hope in Christ. Soon, I will begin co-writing a Bible study with a friend, Hildah Lunding, in Denmark who also publishes a magazine for women called Women’s Frontline Magazine, while also preparing a book of many many poems formatted into a devotional that will prayerfully speak deeply into hearts. It has been waiting for some time for me to finish it and others continue to ask for it. I am doing my best to get it completed.
Another post will share in more detail the open door for a new radio ministry in partnership with our friends at HLE Radio. The program will be called, “Deep Waters” as God is calling us to talk about deeper issues that perhaps are hard to address yet must be in this hour. He has been speaking to me about this verse:
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
Psalm 107:23-24
I believe it’s time we go into deep waters. There is no more time for shallow gatherings and discussions. We must deal well with real issues, be transparent, and be as Esther in order to save our people. I am fully mindful of the weight of this moment in time. Yet, if Christ is for us, who can be against us. Your prayers are much appreciated.
As we move forward, please keep us tucked in prayer with Jesus. We are launching into more publications, more publishing, and more outreach with all the ministries. We need strength. We need His power. We need His heart.
It is a great time to be in service to the Lord Jesus. May we all together make His name known to every longing heart. Just take a look around. They are not far from you even now. May we use that which He has entrusted to our hands and heart. For His dreams are to be lived out through us…
Love Much,
