There will be not one moment that Christ misses the shunning of one of His own. For He will always defend His sheep.
I see much heart rot within our body and it seems we think it’s acceptable to misuse, tell half truths, or completely shun a brother or sister in Kingdom work.
A pattern in this area displays a possible breach that needs attention. The Lord will not allow us to continue in such a way for too long. At some point, He will lovingly set us aside from our work until we can see our need for repentance and reconciliation.
The misery of becoming one seen as opposing God will be deep and wide. The competitive spirit that rationalizes it’s sin will come clean sooner or later….by choice or by the ever passionate pursuit of the righteous judge. For in His image is the precious heart that has been slain by a careless tongue.
If love is the root of all Christ-like interaction, one must be questioned then at the fruit that is bearing witness. For the witness being seen is anti-Christ and displays publicly,as well as privately, a heart in trouble.
The pleasant words deceptively offered will miss the mark and are far from the seen action. For the discerning heart will see through such antics and render the question….”Is there really a relationship with Christ? at all?
There was a season when God called me to help a brother. Because I did so, I lost ministry supporters. Interesting isn’t it? They withdrew help, support, and refused to darken the doors of the work Christ called us to. It’s amazing to me the “Christian” crowds that follow quickly and are fully prepared to build gallows…never seeing that they have sided with Hell.
I had no idea the fall-out that would follow God’s call for me to help another fulfill a dream. It broke the heart of God, as well as my own.
I’ve wondered often how one justifies such moves of the enemy knowing little of the circumstances…all the while proclaiming to be a follower of Christ.
These types of moments grieve the heart of God deeply and never go unseen. Heaven renders a record of every idle word to then one day call it to account.
May we let Him cleanse us now of all unrighteousness and walk in a way worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
