Worship While You Wait
Upon thy bended knee
I cast my every care
Awaiting the voice I need
To come and rest right there.
Yet in the quiet calm
I hear the faintest sound
“Worship while you wait”
So I stand and look around.
I gently grab a scarf
Anointed for thine work
I set the music soft
Obeying what I heard.
For Father in His heart
Has called now for a dance
And as the notes do play
Worship lifts my hands.
Love it feels my soul
For all He is to me
For everything He’s done
And how He’s rescued me.
My struggles then did melt
Slowly in my mind
For all that I could see
Was Jesus’ hand in mine.
Not long the tears did come
For tender indeed is He
And not one room alone
Could hold my praise for Thee.
And as the music ceased
And my hands did lower now
The room was filled with peace
And the scent of His presence profound.
