For some of us we’ve not ventured out past the shallow waters of safety. Our comfortable living has carried us away from the adventures with Christ. We’re right near afraid of everything.
A season is upon us for those ready for the wilder seas. Where the far horizon is within our sights yet behind us the shore can no longer be seen.
It is in the deepest of waters that His wonders are seen. A bit of business can be had in shallow waters, but Kingdom treasures are “out yonder.”
When was the last time following Jesus scared you to death? When you knew that if He wasn’t steering the ship, you were in some real hot water?
Rising is the scent of sea salt as deep calls unto deep and the living waters is alluring the pioneers and trailblazers to come spy out new territories and lands.
It’s a call for the modern-day Joshua’s and Caleb’s. Our predecessors who knew of God’s good reports and grandeur. If that’s you, well, then grab your backpacks…the ship is about to sail.
Expect waves higher than you’ve ever seen and storms more violent that any of your past hurricanes. The world has made a turn now and its map is set to overtake a generation with utter wickedness.
But if you’re willing to actually lay down the life you’ve been fighting so hard to keep and pick up your cross, Jesus is gathering a ready army to snatch some from Hell and steer many to safety.
There will be nothing easy about it. Matter of fact you’ll likely find the “normal” ritualistic way of doing things will no longer work. Holy Spirit is now taking His lead role where holy and righteous guidance is His supreme place. I dare to say, we’ve been led by men (mankind) long enough. The Spirit gives life but the flesh has counted for nothing, and it shows.
Aboard His ship will be saints seasoned in warfare and some who just had enough courage to jump on board. One will help the other and together linking arms will be a mighty force sailing some of the wildest seas.
These wilder seas require those who know how to employ teamwork. They will be able to place persons appropriately for battle according to their God-ordained gifts. They will move like a delta force team skilled in prayer and hand to hand combat. Those scouting out lands overrun by enemy forces will have keen eagle sight and the gift of discernment will expose any lying devils running an undercover scam attempting to take hold of the King’s land.
So who’s ready to sail the wilder seas with our heavenly Sea Captain?
If that’s you, then prepare to fight a war that has already been won yet still must be fought…
For those who are friends of God I say, “Ahoy Matey!”
I hope you’ll answer “Yes!” when it’s time to board the ship.
You won’t wanna miss this wave of The Spirit.
Others went to sea in ships, conducting trade on the vast water.
They saw the Lord’s works, his wondrous works in the deep.
He spoke and raised a stormy wind that stirred up the waves of the sea.
Rising up to the sky, sinking down to the depths their courage melting away in anguish,
They reeled and staggered like a drunkard, and all their skill was useless.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.
He stilled the storm to a whisper, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
They rejoiced when the waves grew quiet. Then he guided them to the harbor they longed for.
(Psalm 107:23-30)
