It’s only in the power of Christ that you, at times, can hold on. No human being can counsel you in some seasons. Only God, Himself, can make His way into a room and bring back hope to the hopeless.
Sometimes we must step outside for some fresh perspective. As you do the wind will brush upon your check and remind you Jesus loves you deeply. He has come to offer you a gentle kiss.
You might catch a sight of the beautiful butterfly as it flits and flitters and wish you could be as free as he.
Each flower yields a staggering beauty as they remind you God is the Almighty Creator of all things. One word from Him brings life to a weary soul.
It would be good to lay down on your back and watch the clouds as He twirls them and creates His own theatrical show just for you as He nudges a grin from you, albeit a sad one.
It’s ok to smile and cry in the same moment. He understands.
The longing questions in your heart that haven’t been said aloud, He hears them each. If you take a little walk and put your hand out to the side, He will quickly take it and walk with you…Father and child.
It is a wonder why some things happen, and some don’t. His timing is otherworldly yet in His hands, always.
I see fields full of wildflowers. Some struggling to live while others seem to shoot new blooms daily. Some suffering from hot fires and long delays where hope seems aloof.
Yet, I turn my gaze upon a little sparrow to which He reminds me not one falls without the Father. Thus, not one is ever alone.
When in the valley of despair, He is there. In what seems the sudden drowning, He is there. In what appears to be Hell on earth…HE.IS.THERE!
Underneath the old oak I find some peace and solace. For a moment the world goes away and it’s just me and Him.
And for what seems too brief a moment….all things stand still including time, pain, and every worry.
Again He reminds me to remove the burdens from my shoulders and let Him take them all. As I do, in rushes a wave of supernatural peace and a knowing that He is still at work in all things.
As I go back to the battlefield, He says He’ll save our place under that strong, oak tree so that when the next wave of storms come I’ll remember where to run.
