It is my opinion as well as a clear biblical affirmation that even when God calls us to a difficult work, we will have a divine passion behind it. No matter how we feel, there will be a “drive” in us.
It may be out of a sheer obedience, but nevertheless we will likely not rest until it’s fulfilled. The Jesus in us will push and nudge when He is desiring a thing to be done.
In Kingdom work, you sure better know where your passion lies. At times, a shift in passion will alert us that grace is no longer on a thing, and we need to quickly wave goodbye to it. None of us want to run this race without anointing grace. Seasons do change and it’s quite ok. Jesus is always routing us according to His purpose.
A simple definition of Passion from Webster’s is this:
: a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something
So let me ask you, where lies your passion? Is there a specific work of God that gets your blood pumping, and you can’t wait to get to it?
If not, then it’s time for a good sitting with Jesus. Perhaps you’re in the wrong arena for this necessary season, or you’ve strayed from His heart a bit.
Are you lacking in passion and just walking through your days with no real purpose or destination in Kingdom work?
Don’t you want to be on fire for something and know with all of your heart that you are doing exactly what you were made for?
Passion can be an unction of the Holy Ghost. (We’re talking about a righteous passion here, not ungodly passion)
No matter what happens, you won’t be able to be turned from it. It will be the very place where your face is set like flint. Calamity comes, unexpected struggles rise, or all Hell sends its host, but you will not be moved.
So friend…let me ask you one last time, so you can ponder the answer with Christ…
Where is your passion?
