Fear can never be a trusted reason for any decision we make. We have not been given a spirit of fear.
If Paul had allowed fear to rule him, he likely would have avoided preaching the gospel. He would have realized it was too dangerous and instead kept himself safe. Yet, others would have perished to eternal doom and in all honesty, it would have been a counterfeit kind of safe.
If fear is given a place to speak, it will dictate answers that may, or may not, be from the Lord.
“David inquired of the Lord…” when he did not, things were disastrous.
Do you, and I, practice inquiring of the Lord, or do we yield to every other voice instead?
If God speaks, go with Him. If fear speaks, place it underfoot until God is heard.
Fear can not be louder than the voice of God. If it is, we will be led astray.
Do not follow men, but follow God. Seems simple? Perhaps. Until confusion comes. Then many follow men rather than inquiring of God.
Often His ways are not our ways. Ask for supernatural wisdom and answers from Heaven in this hour. Once you get His report, simply obey.
Stand firm with Jesus. He is the safe place into which we run. No other arms will do.
Fear can not be given a place of authority. Nor shall it be lorded over others to control them. This shows the enemy is at work.
Help each other along the way in this time of despair, but make no mistake Jesus, alone, holds the keys. Now and forever.
Do not place your trust in man…and do not let fear be your leader.
All of our training and all of our learning of the Word of God must now come to life in and among us. Do we know Him well?
“Lean not on your own understanding….”
Let me search my own heart to see if I have swallowed fully those words of truth, or if I’ve but merely quoted them.
