This post may be difficult for some yet has been such a burden on my heart the last years and particularly the last few weeks. The enemy is gaining ground and deceiving many so in obedience to the Lord I am going to share the truth He has taught me regarding witchcraft. You may agree or disagree but either way…please be willing to seek the Lord’s heart. Always go study yourself.
If you are not aware there are now Ouija Boards being sold to our children in Toys R Us right here in Tyler Texas. This means our children will unknowingly be calling up dead spirits…all in the beautifully pink disguise of a toy. Now, It is reasonable to us to read the Word of God and recognize His heart against witchcraft. Yet we fail to study to show ourselves approved in a way that helps us recognize it in our modern day. Believe me…it still exists. Any time we consult a source other than the Spirit of God..we have opened a door to witchcraft. Please understand..once you have encountered the effects of such darkness you will not be inclined to dabble in it again. We read about “Legion” the demon possessed man in the Bible and understand with head knowledge the reality. Yet, somehow we fail to understand that should we open doors in our own lives to witchcraft of any sort…the reality of “Legion” could manifest as a reality to us. Whether we debate on oppression or possession..surely we all have members in our family or churches that are likely candidates? Are we prepared for the manifestation of such dabbling? Are we guarding the doors of our children’s hearts, ourselves, and those around us?
Much of what I see in witchcraft today is very subtle…in some ways…and other ways it has simply become “normal.” I walked in Game Stop yesterday with my son and we could not hardly find a game that had not turned in some way or the other to the dark side. For example: “Diablo,” “The spirits Within“, etc…I could go on and on. The eye gate into the soul is vulnerable to the enemy. He certainly knows this. But we dare to be different that the rest of society..because after all…everyone is doing it.
The scary thing is we seem to jump on every ban wagon and fad and become absolutely sheep led to the slaughter…. suddenly we wonder why havoc has manifested, strange happenings…yet we politely opened a door for the enemy to step into our territory. We not only gave him access but permission to enter our world and now affect our loved ones.
Over the years the Lord has shown me the subtle invasion which at large the church is ignoring. We somehow do not believe in the effects of the dark world…Listen…you and I will not likely see a witch brewing in an old black pot….but trust me it does still happen in many other forms. Be careful what you bring into your homes that could be “accursed.” Be careful what you read and watch…the television is quite the entry point for much darkness. Be careful what you put on yourself in the way of shampoo, body washes, oils, and even what you take into your body..before you ever research a company. Pay attention to the symbols on the products and even the names of the products, as well as the “root” mission of the company. If you do not know what something means…research it! Just this week a friend of mine had purchased a supplement to help her health..when she went to the company website it disclosed that each supplement was first prayed over and devoted to the name of a god in new age religion. This my friends is witchcraft…and that is an evil spirit…..and just as we pray to the ONE TRUE GOD–CHRIST–…others pray to the “gods” or evil spirits that serve Satan. Remember what the Word says? “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood..but against principalities of the dark world…” (Why do we not believe this when we have read it a thousand times??) Lord please help us..
If you or I have opened any doors to the enemy..you and I must repent and ask the Lord to close every door where you have granted access to him….either knowingly or unknowingly. Be not unaware of the enemy’s schemes…People perish for lack of knowledge. I would suspect an urgency on the heart of our Father or He would not have whispered this poetic message…may you and I walk holy as He is holy…putting aside EVERY weight…May He grant us increased discernment to “See” the darkness as it tries to enter. The enemy is relentless and will continue to look for cracks in our armor..we can not afford to let our guards down…for he has set many nets for God’s people. In even this, we will have to choose to live in Christ…and to even die in Christ… choosing whom today we will serve.
There is a spirit in the land
Cloaked in clothes of man
Slithers on gentle wind’s
Cautious till fully in.
Satan finds a creaking door
Where the crack is opened for
spirits to take the floor
Unaware come the hoards.
Territories they have claimed
Riding on familiar names
Manifestations now profane
And roots will soon remain.
Check thy homes and House of God
For the thing which Satan charmed
Clean thy house with Holy Words
Anoint with oil let prayers be heard.
Repent of all thy careless ways
Asking Christ to close roadways
The territory you must reclaim
Rebuking spirits who remain.
