The worshiper in spirit and truth will never be confined to Sunday mornings at 11 am. When the presence of God comes into a room, the heart of a worshiper responds no matter where they are and when they are.
Yet, very often, can be seen an unveiling of the true heart of mankind if one is at all discerning.
I fear we have a deep deception in our midst. What we often have is ritual, not worship.
If removed is the building, the allotted gathering times, and the habitual and preplanned schedules, will we be proven as authentic worshipers of the King?
Trust me. You don’t have to lead a worshiper. They can go into the throne room all by themselves.
We’ve created a facade that lacks the very ONE we claim to worship.
Exposed suddenly will be that which is but a mirage. The human heart to Christ is laid bare at any given moment, and all rituals will crumble in His holy presence.
Put the worshipers in solitude and you’ll find them still in worship. No audience. No leader. Just them and Jesus.
When the King comes into any room, you’ll find a response from those who are His. They’ll be like the woman barging into the room of men and washing her tears over the feet of Jesus. They’ll not care of the crowd gathered, the span of time, or the “required” pomp and circumstance of the day…
No…there’s a gaze between them and Jesus in any given moment, and they cannot help but respond with their hearts to the ONE their soul loves.
These worshipers know the significance of worship. The warfare that is annihilated in the Spirit as every lyric, melody, and sound shoots like David’s slingshot to the pinpoint of the enemy’s camp.
Ask the Lord to show you in the Spirit what is happening in true worship. You’ll likely see demonic forces tucking tail and running, angelic hosts busily hovering, and the very train of the Almighty entering into the room.
At that moment we will know whether our hearts have been fully surrendered, our lips worshiping with hearts far from Him, and whether we’ve ever recognized Him as who He is in His fullness.
Truth be told if He came into the room with all of His glory, none of us would be left upright but face down in awe. Every seat emptied. Every room wrecked. Every heart bowed low.
From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia
My worshipers,
The daughter of My dispersed ones,
Shall bring My offering.
(Zephaniah 3:10)
