Often I see Jesus come gently. Perhaps it’s the nature of what we are called to do but I’ve seen the kindness of God embrace a precious face with words that melt my heart.
“You’re safe now honey, it’s ok. You’re safe now.”
With all His power and might He speaks simply to the little girl in the big girl.
He was there when that little one was wounded and He saw her run for her life trying to find real safety.
She didn’t need me to wield my authority in Christ although it was fully intact. She didn’t need me to raise my voice to the spirit of witchcraft tormenting her. It just needed to be broken over her life simply and He only needed the use of my hands, my arms, and my heart. He would then uniquely love on her in a way He knew she needed.
Laying her head on my shoulder I remembered a time someone did that for me. It was Jesus healing me. Now He was healing her.
Cupping her sweet face was the heart of the Father who had always been there seeing her every grief and bottling every tear. After all, she was His little girl still.
I could feel His heart breaking for her and it in kind broke mine.
But soon came this sweet and unexpected smile whereby the joy of Christ would manifest in a precious, broken life. Her face became radiant.
It was stunning.
It is a wonder to see the Spirit of God come upon someone, indeed.
It is not a natural thing but something of a supernatural nature.
But when you’ve seen Him do it, this I can tell you:
You will never forget it.
Then the sweetest music to my ears is hearing that same dear heart say, “I feel like a weight just came off of me.”
Yes, sweet girl. It did.
That yoke has been destroyed.
Bless the name of the Lord.
Isa 10:27 – And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
