This is one of those posts where I wish I were sitting across from you, so you could see the tears in my eyes as I share… but this will have to do…
I want to speak to professing women of God in Christ Jesus.
Listen, I am a defender of women. I’m also called to right the wrongs of injustice within our church systems towards women-especially those empowered with leadership gifts that have been marginalized.
With that being said, I am pro-woman as is Jesus, clearly.
However, the enemy uses many of our own “clan” in ways that quickly discredit us as God-fearing and righteous women.
I am pleading with you to hear my heart here.
The first is in the area of holiness. God is not undergirding any dream or assignment that is not rooted in holiness. He is holy. It is who He is.
We are to be in the world, but not of it. We seem to have this confused or, perhaps, we just want our own way.
Prepare yourself here:
I’m here to sharpen us, women. If we serve Jesus, we will take a listen and then pray about the areas we all need a bit of change in. We have some major areas of repentance that are necessary, and it requires us to turn it around and do it differently.
There is no valid biblical fighting for the woman’s place in the Kingdom if we continue to straddle the fence here. We are slaughtering our own efforts.
It is sorely hurting our plight, understandably so, causing many to question our motives. Can we be trusted not just with the Word of God, but in living the Word of God?
In biblical days, women got caught up in pagan worship and used their bodies, their dress, their feminism as an unhealthy focal point for a world given over to lewdness and lust. It was wicked at the root.
Why is it that we fight for women’s biblical rights and to be seen respectfully by our peers and can’t for the life of us understand modesty and the keeping of certain seasons of life, body parts, and intimate husband/wife moments to ourselves?
Women truly rooted in Christ and His ways will not compromise to methods that seem good and celebratory yet breach a boundary of holiness. We will not cater to the world, but to Christ.
God does not use compromising methods or ideas to draw people. Bury that way of thinking. It is utter deception.
Feminism is by far the worst yet best example in point. One cannot call themselves a biblical woman of God and support feminism. It is the absolute counterfeit sent to go ahead of God-fearing women to discredit us. Never will you catch me aligning with feminism. It has a wicked root and its god is Satan. Make no mistake.
It looks good at times, doesn’t it? I get my rights as a woman and anything goes. Truth is, not anything goes with Jesus.
You and I will have to move away from the “look at me” mentality to the “look at Jesus” mentality.
In my view, and I believe the view of Jesus as well, we should hold dear womanhood and all that comes with it. I bear children, but I do not exploit the intimacy of childbearing in any way.
I am a girl from head to toe, but I do not use any part of my womanhood to draw attention or lure anyone to view me in what might become an unhealthy way.
Don’t get me wrong here. I believe in teaching our brothers not to have lustful eyes, but I also believe in me helping them to walk uprightly by not being an unnecessary temptation by the way I dress or behave.
Listen, put the cameras away. We don’t need boudoir pictures. Come on now.
Soft pornography is still pornography, girls. Get a grip on Jesus!
I’d likely have the same view of any female (or male for that matter) body part viewed in public that ought not to be. I don’t really want to hear all about how “natural” it is. Sex is also natural within the confines of marriage, yet I do not expect you to celebrate and engage in it where I, and others, can see. That’s what they did in the pagan worship rituals, friends.
We have a world where little girls are being sold and wickedness has some nasty ways. We aren’t helping matters any.
Stop feeding into it.
It starts with you and me.
Trust me, you don’t need it all.
The most beautiful woman to walk into a room will be the one shining brightly like the SON….she will be radiant in a healthy way…and she will not be missed ,I assure you, by any onlooker.
However, her draw will not be a human one, but one by the Spirit of God.
One thing I can promise you is this…
She’ll be fully dressed in the natural and wearing a robe of righteousness in the Spirit.
