There is an incredible tactic of the enemy to push you into a place prematurely. You will be bombarded by feelings of being left out, the thought that Jesus passed you by, and at times you will be drastically misunderstood.
Yet, Christ says “wait.”
It’s the exhausting feeling of a race horse in the stall awaiting the starting gun to sound. Your adrenaline and burden increase to almost an unbearable state. Surely the time is near?
Yet, Christ says “wait.”
The bridled horse presses against the starting chute in great anticipation in what seems an eternity. Yet, time is of no matter to Christ. He is watching over His Word that it is being performed.
It will appear as if others are progressing and their chutes opened before yours; But, time is specific to the call of your own destiny. Your time has not yet come.
Christ says, “wait.”
Without the rider pulling back on the reigns, you likely will jump the gate, and do as you please, running quickly towards a place you were not sent; Until, you are utterly exhausted.
For the eagle only mounts up after the “wait.”
You may make your turns with zeal and impress many but eventually you will give out as strength is equal to your ability to “wait.”
As the butterfly in a chrysalis, if opened too soon your growth will be stunted with weakness and your wings unable to fly the long miles.
Thus, you must “wait.”
So the bridled horse must give over himself to the bit as The Spirit….becoming its friend and companion. Knowing in the restriction is purpose, safety, love, and strength not yet obtained.
Still Christ is whispering, “wait.”
Timing is critical in the economy of Heaven. For the horse is set to run at a divine time. To jump start the race causes undue penalties.
But ahhhh…
Then one day, your unique gun is shot with a valiant echo that all of Heaven hears and the gate opens with a resounding sound on the wind, “Loose the colt!”
The race is exhilarating and full of what must feel like the soaring of the eagle. For the Spirit has called for thee and empowered you now for your race.
Every turn has been given you now as your foot races toward the finish line and you are even amazed at the strength of your legs. There is no weariness, nor fainting.
All because Christ said, “wait.”
