It was a sweet day walking with the Lord…yet my heart quickly began to speak with Him about the sorrows of heart. I recalled years past and all He has taught me. The seasons of life that the enemy seemed to use to steal as much truth from my heart as he possibly could.
Maybe you, like me, have had to fight to remember truth at times. It’s not that we do not remember the truth but it just seems to be buried a bit deeper than before and covered with much debris. Until finally He kindly puts His finger on an area and says, “Remember this.”
So He began again, as a gentle Father does, telling me of the inheritance Christ died to give me-and you. As words came from my mouth, “I am royalty” it was as if a beckoning from His heart was calling me to say it over and over-to remember-then declare.
Amazing how His word will begin to stir and cause you to action of the most beautiful kind. I began walking taller as I repeated these words and reminding myself who Christ says I am. I walked to a lovely tree and with a royal curtsy of course:) said, “Hello my name is Shelly .and I am royalty.”
Then I burst into laughter.. It was rather dramatic I must admit.
“Ok ,Lord…I get it. I remember.”
Then as serious as He can be over a few days He began to re-position my heart for the coming hour and days.
I love being His Princess-every little girl adores this thought. However, it is time to step into the greater calling of “the heiress” that we are. The modern day Esther story.
It was time to be a Queen…at the side of her bridegroom…the King. There are distinct differences between a princess and a Queen you know…something worthy of pondering through Kingdom eyes.
A friend helped me in a transitional season with these words,”Shelly, you’ve been wearing a tiara but you need to be wearing a crown.”
The Queen’s Crown
“You are a Princess,” my Father said
But He just spoke of coming dreads
So I must step up into place
And as a Queen now start to reign.
No more milk but deeper things
Die to flesh for Spirit things
“It’s time you practice royalty”
Yet not the role you use to be.
For through the Valley of Baca long
A bridge you crossed to paths once gone
And meadows wait with harvest lands
Sheep are waiting prophetic winds.
Press deeper now My Spirit’s near
To give you strength and tune thine ears
For in your weakness, I’ll be strong
For I’m The King and I have called.
Remove thy dress and wardrobe dear
For it is time for new robes clear
It’s time to walk and time to tread
On serpents and scorpions up ahead.
Fear not for you are married tight
To Me, your groom, both day and night
Commissioned now to where I send
A straightened arrow released to men.
There’s no more frills just battle gear
Swords and shields and words that pierce
Shoes fit tight to Herald loud
That which Heaven pours and sounds.
Submit thine all, carry My name
Exchange the tiara retired away
For mark the date both month and day
I crown a Queen to bear My Name….
