There’s a little girl inside of some of you who is aching to get out.
She’s been hiding for years herself to keep safe.
Yet, Jesus knows intimately this treasured heart He formed in the womb.
His darling child who He has been watching over since before you were born.
He saw you try to erupt onto the scene with all of your beautiful smiles and joy filled dancing.
Then He saw the enemy send an onslaught to slowly cause you to shrink back into years of hiding.
You’ve hidden within oversized clothes, dark shadowy corners, and unseen pews.
You were scorned for your unique ways until your little heart was shattered.
Your dancing ceased and your mourning began.
Now it’s been years and you’re all grown up.
Yet, Jesus still sees His little girl and He bids you to “Rise little girl.., rise.” It’s time for your light to shine.
Time for you to come out from under that bushel of yours.
Time for your radiant ways to deliver Jesus to others.
He will use that pained heart of yours to tend and mend others. You’ll have a distinct ability to see clearly their needs.
You’ll be mindful of the little girl in the big girl needing a long awaited nurturing and so as you feed them, Jesus will also feed you.
Healing is a two way street it seems and you’ll walk the road with many who were abandoned.
So, come on little girl, “Rise and shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.”
Isaiah 60:1
