There is such a temptation to be something we’re not. In all of our pandering for influence we’ve lost sight of the goodness of God in our own lives.
He simply can’t bless what’s not His and, likewise, what’s not yours.
It is exhausting to become jealous of others and what they carry. You were built to carry Christ in a beautiful and unique way. That is where the anointing of God is an easy yoke for you. It’s simply part of who you are.
Whatever God has placed in you can’t help but flow out of you. You’ll know it and so will others.
If there is a shepherd in you, you’ll naturally, and supernaturally, function in that very gift God wove into you with His dear hands. If you’re a teacher, that gift is going to show itself sooner or later.
I can’t turn anyone into something God has not designed them for no matter how hard I try.
Often we “monitor” from afar another’s gifts and try to imitate it in some fashion or another. If we’re not careful this can be an entry point for a very real jealous spirit which indeed operates like a sickness.
It’s a deathly disease that is literally “Hell-bent” to have what someone else has been ordained with. That spirit works hard and deceptively behind the scenes to mirror another, remove from position another, and subtly take the place of another.
There’s a pushing out of people in little ways, nudging one into a corner, and eventually working scenarios until something sticks.
The aim is to be front and center in the same way as another but without the approval and confirming of God, the one who calls a man or woman.
Here’s the thing. If there is a prophet in the house, he (or she) sees it clearly. Ain’t nothing hidden even when it seems well covered. Plus, the Holy Ghost is a real good truth teller.
He doesn’t mind being a “tattle tale” when He is protecting you from unseen snares.
Whatever is built on deception, lies, shady integrity, well, will come crashing down, eventually. However, usually many innocent people get hurt in the process.
Jealousy and envy are destructive in every way. It’ll destroy relationships and take down whole ministries. It’ll divide loyalties and create a wedge of distrust that is not repairable without true repentance. All while using the name of Jesus.
It’s a demonic stronghold that’s running amuck in our midst. It shows us our lack of understanding of our identity in Christ where everyone is needed and everyone is necessary.
It’s a murdering spirit linked to a lying spirit very often. It pretends all is well knowing it’s monitoring your every move. It keeps you close enough to be “in the know” but the intent is unclean.
It is indeed not your friend.
God is good to warn you of concerns even when He loves those involved.
Heed the warning, friends.
I had a dream awhile back. In my dream a woman was in the distance watching me in worship. It was eerie and concerning and it was giving me a heads up on something that was hidden.
Jesus is faithful to show the hidden things. But you must believe Him when He reveals something to you. If He went to the trouble then it’s significant to His heart and to yours.
How do I deal with it? Just because I don’t say it, doesn’t mean I don’t see it. But once I see it, you’ll find me backing away because this is a destructive spirit that cannot be trusted.
At some point the spirit took control of a heart that had a lack in it. An unmet need. One who was not secure in their place with Christ Jesus.
Remember Saul and David? What a wreckage was left behind due to jealousy. It ended up costing many lives.
Be in love with who Jesus has designed you to be. Comfortable with how He uses you. If you’re not you’ll chase one fancy after another because what you’re chasing is the shadow of another instead of what Christ has purposed for you.
Guard your hearts from jealousy and envy before it becomes an open door for demonic habitation.
“Jealousy makes a man rage; he’ll show no mercy on his day of revenge.” Proverbs 6:34
“A peaceful mind gives life to the body, but jealousy rots the bones.” Proverbs 14:30
“Wrath is cruel and anger is a flood, but who can withstand jealousy? “Proverbs 27:4
“He (Jesus) knew that the leaders of the people had handed him over because of jealousy.” Matthew 27:18
“When the Jews saw the crowds, they were overcome with jealousy. They argued against what Paul was saying by slandering him.” Acts 13:45
“The actions that are produced by selfish motives are obvious, since they include sexual immorality, moral corruption, doing whatever feels good, idolatry, drug use and casting spells, hate, fighting, obsession, losing your temper, competitive opposition, conflict, selfishness, group rivalry, jealousy, drunkenness, partying, and other things like that. I warn you as I have already warned you, that those who do these kinds of things won’t inherit God’s kingdom.” Galatians 5:19-21
