The hungry heart is never satisfied with what they know about Christ. Salvation secured them but they deeply hunger to know Him more.
The preciousness of God’s heart is waiting for many a hungry heart to pursue it. Christ has a loving dare beckoning us to dive deeper into His ways.
There is something of God found in a wilderness that is found in no other place. A hidden treasure of pearls polished by droplets of tears saturating them daily. The shine of the delicate jewel was acquired by a harsh rub as God stripped away layers needing to go. Yet, we are left with a strand uniquely created through personal trials and testing.
On the mountaintop, Christ can be seen in all His glory. The cloud pointing our way and the fire lighting our path.
His majesty erupts with volcanic activity and thundering heard for miles. The King is still at work…always.
His gentleness is seen as a young bird takes flight and the mothering nature of God exhibits before us how He tends His own. Nudging them ever so gently until the great PUSH when He launches them each into flight.
Often we believe rain has come as a harsh hitting moment until we see it was only meant to grow His garden full of lovely and uniquely created blooms of all shapes, colors, and sizes.
The rain was good…it taught us well.
The hungry heart sees Christ at work in the simplest of ways and in every place. His movement is always on their radar and at all times they are prepared to move as He moves.
Some of the sweetest times will be spent locked up in His presence with the noise of the world silenced. The King pours out His longings to the hungry hearts so they fully understand His will and ways for a lost and dying world.
He waits eagerly for hungry hearts. Those satisfied with how much of Him they have apprehended shall be sad to know there was more available to them.
But for the hungry heart that chases day and night His mysteries…..they shall receive all the more they could ever want…
Ask God for a hungry heart…For the hungry heart shall always be fed.
