Sin will always argue it’s point.
It is a master storyteller that can convince the wisest of Saints to submit to it willingly.
It has an alluring voice that commands ones attention and is the best of the best at twisting the truth just enough to make it a lie.
Sin corrupts the mind. It convinces us of its rights. It must have its way… even when it’s wrong.
It’s cunning.
It coils around the neck ever slowly until one day you wake up and realize you’ve been had.
You find yourself suffocating and you can barely breathe.
Sin keeps you. Sin cages you. Sin draws you from Christ one step at a time. One day at a time. One month at a time.
Until you realize years have past and you’re shipwrecked.
Sin whispers at first but eventually it is a roaring train coming through that never stops.
It’s the merry go round you can’t seem to get off of.
The swing that goes higher and higher until it is no longer amusement..
It leads you to a death.
The farther sin takes you, the closer the death door becomes.
Sin will convince you there is no way out. No escape. So you might as well stay with it.
In this moment you have two choices.
Stay….or….Go
One road leads to death
The other leads to life..
But in the end
It’s still your choice…
Call on the name of the Lord and you shall be saved.
For He is faithful to make a way of escape when you are ready to silence this fake friend we call “Sin.”
