I was catching the end of a movie the other day and a phrase captured me.
“The eagles are coming…”
It seemed I could hear the whisper of the Lord ringing underneath these words. For some time as in the days of old it appears the Eagles have been silenced. The prophetic voices have been dismissed due to clear falsehoods. Yet, He has begun to gather His eagles to rise again. The prophets were always kept in hiding until their time of showing forth….the time is nearing once again. We will begin to hear from the Eagles.
The Eagles spread their wings to soar above storm clouds, while keenly seeing that which is below. To the human eye, much is missed…but to the eagle, much is seen. They have been given a keen sight to see past the natural and to the supernatural. They are not fooled by Satan’s antics that are clothed well to the visible eye. They have the ability to undress the falsehood and call it what it is, exposing the enemy’s plan. This is the power of Christ in an eagle who carries the great supernatural gift of discernment.
The Lord seems to be sending forth a trumpet gathering the Eagles to prepare for an unseen war soon commencing. They have come out of hard seasons of war. This has been necessary for their training.
They have had to learn to wait on the cliff allowing all manners of winds to pass until the wind thermal that ran with their name called them to JUMP!
At times the Eagles thought perhaps they would starve waiting…. but their Master was faithful to send His wind at His appointed time.
The Eagles have had to learn to fly alone and have most often gone through incredible and painful separations. Yet, the Lord required such seasons that His voice would be heard better than before. There had to become a true Oneness of heart and mind. There would have to be a Valley of Achor to produce a door of hope.
The Eagles have had to learn the art of faith… which requires risk. Many found themselves risking often but were dismayed at the outcome of great faith. However, God was working all things out for good and the character of the Eagles was an area He would need to prune for future work. Quite often they have been tested for their perseverance and faithfulness. The spirit of endurance was given many an eagle.
They are coming out of the wilderness where they have been hidden as polished arrows in His quiver under the teaching of the Master Archer. They have learned the skill of being pliable in the hand of the archer. To lay back into His chest and allow Him to guide them to every place He desires. Learning the ways of the Spirit required practice rarely found in modern institutions.
Oh yes, the Eagles are coming friends…
The Eagles will rise with strength in their wings after a long season of waiting. The storms have taught them how to rise above the clouds and SOAR. In the wilderness, they met face to face with fire and rain. Both required for the war ahead.
These Eagles will be used to raise up a generation with teachings from the Word and also great experience. The wilderness was home to wisdom which the Eagles would need to fulfill their destinies. Tales from the wilderness and the faithfulness of their God will be heard throughout the land.
These have seen the power of God, the Most High, given today as at Pentecost. They have seen His glory as not an optional gift, but a necessary one indeed to operate in His fullness.
Oh yes, the Eagles are coming friends…
They will proclaim the coming of the Lord, publish His good tidings, and reckon with the darkness. They have learned how to stand in the face of the wicked one and declare authority and dominion in the name of Jesus.
They have been made strong of heart, yet tender with compassion. For soaring high above allows one to see the lack of love below. This was a gift from the Lord that they might see fully with His great love for mankind and operate accordingly with hearts in need.
Oh yes…the eagles are coming…
They will now be strong enough to carry others upon their backs. They will tend and mend the Lords sheep. They will stir up the gifts in those looking for their purpose and be a voice of encouragement as they walk.
They will align themselves with truth and righteousness understanding the work of the Cross. They will fight for truth in areas that will bring much persecution, yet Christ will be their rearguard. He will protect His anointed ones as He did Elijah and Elisha. Some will be as the prophets of old … shunned and misunderstood. Some labeled as fanatics, yet they will stand as great oaks knowing all things hidden will one day be seen and their audience commitment will remain to only an audience of One.
Oh yes, the Eagles are coming…

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.Isaiah 49:2Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her. And there I will give her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. And there she shall answer as in the days of her youth, as at the time when she came out of the land of Egypt. Hosea 2:14-15
But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. “Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops. Luke 12:2-3
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;to grant to those who mourn in Zion—
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.Isaiah 61:1-3
