We will likely all go through seasons of struggle. Seasons that appear to drain you of all breath and life. Seasons that attempt to rob you of your promises from God. Seasons whereby joy seems to have fled far away. Seasons where it seems like the enemy has won.
This is what I call the wilderness journey. It is the season that seems to usher you into a dark cave in the deepest of valleys. However, it’s a hidden place where a broken heart learns a deeper communion with the Spirit of God.
In the midst of those seasons are unseen training grounds where Christ is turning all that was sent for evil for good. You’ll rise with new insights for the hurting, new vision from Heaven’s heart, and a new strength you did not have before.
What you didn’t understand was there was a warrior in the making. The wilderness cave was a healing place that would prepare you for an unknown promised land that would require a new skill-set from the LORD.
You may even feel like you have lost your song.
The truth is, actually, that the journey to finding your song again will usher you into a million new melodies that you’ve never heard before. Suddenly, you’ll realize that the valley of trouble really did become a door of hope.
