A covering will protect you
Without your being choked.
Its gentle as a blanket
When you are down and low.
It encourages to God’s best
And nudges you ahead
It never let’s you rest assured
That more can not be fed.
This covering of divine order
Will grant a seed to grow
It waters and packs the nourishment
Has fragrance as a rose.
It’s authority handles such treasures
And tends the Father’s flock
The covering ordained by Jesus
Will pray for God’s own heart.
If a covering becomes more a noose like
Then fruit has died on the vine
For the covering that Christ does teach now
Is against the yokes that bind.
So if you find yourself breathless
And freedom Christ longs for evades
Then run to Christ ere in secret
With His sword He will sure cut away.
