There have been times when suddenly I realized the enemy had set up the perfect ambush.
Where on every side all things became exposed for what they were and Jesus whispers, “Vacate the premises.”
Welling up in you will be tears because you know how it will end but all the questions were instantly answered in the, “It is over.”
Even when you know it’s right you will grieve. You’ll grieve with Christ and to Christ. It’ll feel like the enemy won, and to a degree he did. But you were released from the fight in that moment and sent onward to the next battle.
You’ll worship in the war. Whistle while you work. Advance in the darkness.
God’s place for you is steady and sure. You are an overcomer through Christ.
You’re needed and wanted. Equipped and empowered. God will not let you take a lesser seat to appease mankind.
You are His weapon of war and He will reposition you before Kings, influential crowds, and in areas that are in need of what you carry.
The ambush might have succeeded in some ways but it also became the tool Christ used to move you “up.”
As I write this I can see someone climbing quickly up a ladder that is Heavenward. Higher.
The place of the unseen realm where your giftings will soar, His presence is deep, and you and Jesus will reign together as co-heirs.
It’s ok, dear one.
God sees you.
But it’s time to move along now.
Don’t get stuck in the transition.
That ambush turned into a burning bush for you. Full of direction, finality, and a call to the “next.”
“Their tongue is a deadly arrow; It speaks deceit; With his mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor, But inwardly he sets an ambush for him.”
Jeremiah 9:8
