The world is in pain.
It is because of this I am convinced that we are allowed such deep heart trials that we might be able to understand a breaking heart.
The heart breaking seems to crack a bit over and over again until one final blow sends it into a million pieces.
There is no way to see a broken heart but to recognize its symptoms. This is why we desperately need the Holy Spirit. We must see past what is naturally seen.
One cannot explain what it feels like to have a broken heart but once you’ve had one, you shall never forget it. You now have a unique “knowing.” It’s almost like a word of knowledge that comes by circumstance. The manifestation of an unseen pain that weighs down a human being can be seen through the eyes of Christ.
You will see one’s countenance change or facial expressions limited to barely existing. Smiles shall be hard to come by, a loss of appetite, and even a withdrawing from the crowds. There is a push and a pull that happens as they try to go out with friends only to cancel at the last minute.
How would you be able to catch a glimpse of the one running out the door in pain if you had not once upon a time been “her?”
The human heart becomes callous of the pain of others on the other side of any valley. Much like childbirth there are forgotten elements, feelings, and nuances that if all we have are blessings we shall too quickly forget the wounded.
Take your pain to Jesus and ask Him to use every ounce for Kingdom advantage. Offer every tear up to His throne making sure you understand there is a reward that comes to the one who must sow in tears.
The demand for sheaves is not prideful. It is biblical. It is a trusted word from a Savior who, too, bore much grief.
Hang on warrior.
God is taking what was meant for evil and building a garden full of seed that has been nestled under the waterfall of your tears.
Soon you will see flower buds you’ve never seen before and your life will give off a fragrance of Jesus that was not there before. The marvel of it all is that the one passing you by with a hidden heart pain will be drawn to His scent somehow made sweeter through you.
Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy. He who goes out weeping, bearing a trail of seed, will surely return with shouts of joy, carrying sheaves of grain.
(Psalm 126 4-5)
