Desperation can be such a trouble maker.
We talked last night about how often we are called upon by people to “fill a spot” or “meet a need” but the truth is God never called us to it. So we sit empty in it while nothing of God actually happens. It’s all human will and strength.
The same thing happens on the other end.
We get so desperate that we open doors to the devil and he will gladly come right on in.
It’s the moment we show a breach in our armor where fear causes us to make one mistake after another until finally the devil has his whole set of friends inside that door now wreaking havoc in our lives and ministries.
It has been one of the hardest lessons over my years. Being able to separate the human from the spirits at work.
Remember, we wrestle not flesh and blood…
I do not need to grasp for straws when Jesus is my keeper.
In the past I would see all manner of red flags and rationalize them until I ended up paying dearly for it.
That alligator always has a tail swipe on hand and I’ve been on the receiving end of his last ditch efforts.
Grace I can give certainly as we all grow but if I’m wanting a righteous move of God I’ve gotta let His finger show me the “Who, what, and where.”
Because… Listen.
The devil usually sends somebody first.
I’ve seen this again and again.
It’ll look like God.
You’ll see a few benefits.
And you’ll want the relief so bad that you’ll cave to the demonic interference you already know is there.
So, you go backwards while the devil moves forward.
He is so happy that you decided to settle for less.
I’m coming in today to tell you this…
Shut that door and shut it now…
