I’ve seen many a relationship fall due to shadows and secrets.
It’s sad because somehow we missed that the truth is what sets us free, and walking in the light with each other is God’s heart.
A prophetic heart can usually sense when something isn’t right, so the shadows and secrets only cause a deeper inability to rebuild trust when there is a break in a relationship.
Honesty would always be the best policy, even if it’s a hard truth. It opens the door for a better outcome. A chance for changes to take place without losing something precious altogether.
I think Christ meant for good and honest dialogue to happen so that reconciliation is not only between us and Him but us and “them.”
So often, silence creates a wedge that a good and loving conversation could keep from happening. Often misunderstandings occur because of silence and secrets.
More often, we do little to nothing to rebuild a loss of trust. We just let the jewel of relationship go, and we miss out on blessings God intended us to have.
The hard work is the confrontation. The decision to sit together and talk it out. To share the heart pains caused, so repentance can come and healing can happen.
Many in the body today still take the cup of communion while living in a broken fellowship not yet tended to.
Shadows linger and discussion never happens where they should have, and thus no corrections are enabled on any front. How sad for us.
It grieves the Holy Ghost.
When we don’t do the hard thing, we lose because the elephant in the room is always felt even if it’s not seen.
Sweeping things under the rug and acting like they never happened is a dangerous thing that breeds more hurt. The longer we ignore the need to make a thing right, the harder it becomes to take the step. Albeit, Jesus is still waiting for us to take that step, indeed.
Perhaps we’ve had a disillusioned delay towards destiny simply because we’ve not obeyed in this area.
Our preaching will come to nothing if we dare not practice what we preach.
Shadows and secrets are tools of the devil…and they are very effective for the kingdom of darkness.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (John 1:17)
