This morning I was pondering with the Lord the delight of seeing His girls fly with their dreams from Him. One by one I am seeing the enemy lose his grip while freedom is taking root in many hearts. There is nothing quite like watching others fly. The process can be long and painful as the Lord uncovers hidden pain and helps each heart to become more and more His. While they fly, so do I.
I love learning of my sweet Father’s creation. I love that all creation testifies and points to The Christ in some manner. There is a great delight of seeking out unique nuances of each creature and the way Christ made them to live upon the earth. Each is a teaching to this heart of mine.
As I watch Christ call women into their God given destinies, I see little birds. Little birds uniquely gifted to deliver His heart and Kingdom in a way only each one can. It is lovely to have Him show my heart when I am gazing upon a swallow, an eagle, or even a lark. Each given amazing abilities, heart longings, and unique characteristics that cause me to view them with awe and wonder. May this poem give you the same heart position….of awe and wonder and may we also look upon hearts in a way that shows us who He created them to be…regardless of whether they have reached that place in their walk just yet.
There is a joy O’ Lord
That is seeming to rise
As I gently watch
With a tearful surprise.
The flight of the eaglets
Testing their sight
Practicing flying
A training of the eyes.
The sparrows they flutter
And flitter so kind
Fully now trusting
Your home for their life.
The swallows make new nests
Near the altar they’ve built
In the King’s palace
They hide in Your quill.
The nightingales grace us
With songs so surreal
That speak of the valleys
And how You do heal.
The larks they are lovely
A uniquely bred kind
For they are seen singing
While yet in mid-flight.
Lord, still I am mindful
Of parallels so wise
Of how Heaven speaks
Thru each dear birds life.
For in them is glory
You’ve placed for Your plight
So help me to see them
With prophetic sight.
