One of the most dangerous places to live…is in the “ordinary.”
It’s right up there with the “natural.”
It presupposes God is less than who He is.
In order to go with God, you’ll have to live in the “extra-ordinary” and the “super-natural.”
It is where His work flourishes.
“Ordinary” is not your friend, nor does it describe this walk with Christ at all.
The word tends to no longer exist when Jesus has the reins.
For everything you thought was “so” will quickly fade away.
His Name alone will demolish such a word and silence the very thought.
The Spirit will grieve if “ordinary” is what you think you’ve got.
Our natural minds will sit in a false rest and peace that is contrary to the King.
For nothing Christ does birth, at last, is “ordinary” don’t you see?
What sorrow filled hearts we’d carry long if “ordinary” He really was.
We’d certainly misunderstand the truth of Christ and the very hand we trust.
His movements tend to part red seas and turn water to wine.
The same He is, today again, as was in the beginning of time.
To ere’ dismiss His awesome power as mere “ordinary” ways.
Is to dismiss His divine strength; He is the Ancient of Days.
His passion ignites, His voice does roar, He speaks in many ways.
He commands the deer to give now birth and the waters to roll with waves.
His eagles wait to mount them up upon His wind each day.
His eyes and heart they watch the sparrows to see them as they play.
So, such a word as “ordinary” must now be buried deep.
For Heaven’s hand with the redemption plan is extraordinary indeed.
To hear His heart that beats come nigh will place you on your face.
And never shall your heart confess He’s “ordinary” in any way.
