It starts in loving less our friends
Even hiding little heart sins
It moves to where compassion wanes
Now we see love begins to fade.
From passion and zeal for our fellow man
To distance that grows with each demand
Increasing from one to two to three
Loving now less the least of these.
Priorities have now become skewed
People no longer are grace pursued
Yet we do turn with every excuse
Now, yes, the love wax cold does stew.
Christ shall soon lift His righteous hand
Stirs His heart do the cries of man
And we shall hear as He begins to rise
Thunder and quakes and volcanic demise.
For anger ensues from a Holy throne
That His lost sheep are without a home
Pleading He has to the shepherds so long
But now His Word in Ezekiel will haunt.
For His very hands formed every one
Watched He has as the wolves have come
Mercy and grace He’s poured from high
Yet we’ve neglected His Spirit’s heart cry.
Digest we will the living Word
As He separates in every pasture
From sheep to sheep to goats and rams
He will now bring back the lame little lambs.
He declares to search for the lost and the strays
He’ll bind up the injured and strengthen the same
But the sleek and the strong who cared for themselves
A sobering promise to destroy all of them.
So lest we do test the just and fair God
And handle His sheep with careless rods
Best drop to our knees and plead guilty nods
Repenting “my love has grown cold O’ God..”

Matthew 12
12“Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. 13“But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. 14“This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.Ezekiel 34
