Some of you feel lost in a vast ocean of fish. You’ve been swimming upstream, it seems like, and you feel like something’s missing. You’re still trying to find your kingdom space and place.
Is it “this school or “that school?”
Here’s a secret-neither.
Don’t follow a crowd.
Follow Jesus.
The crowd is never any indication of God’s plan for your sweet life.
The journey can be rough and some of your training will include finding out what you are and are NOT necessarily made to do.
An important step to calling sometimes is finding out the NOTS before you find the YES! One more NOT is a closer step to the YES. Keep serving faithfully in the meantime. You’ll find that Jesus makes sure you run right into destiny when you’re seeking Him first.
When God graces you for a thing…you’ll know it.
Keep swimming.
For those who’ve been at this walk a bit longer with Jesus…this one’s for you.
When His grace for something has been removed, the season has shifted.
Move with Him.
Brooks still dry up. He is still moving His people around a vast ocean of waves-and listen, swim where He sends. You’ll feel at times in the hardest storms that you are miraculously floating no matter the obstacles.
He’s graced you for it.
When I feel a noose tightening around my neck, when my frustrations are elevated, when my body is so fatigued I can’t get enough sleep…
It’s re-evaluation time with Christ.
He may have called DONE something I’m still doing. I’m swimming against His will now. Upstream. Like walking in hip deep water. Heavy. Burdened. Drowning.
It’s not failure of any kind you see-it’s just a shift of His tide.
Don’t you know that some of the most fabulous shifts I delayed making gave me immediate relief when I let go of the anchors, turned the sail, and blew with the wind?
Maybe today you’re feeling lost at sea?
Perhaps it’s time to
Re-evaluate with Jesus.
