What if Christ never looked
Upon the darkest need
If He just decided
It wasn’t His to see.
Would little girls in chains
Ever be set free
Would addicts shooting up
Hear of the “High-est” King?
What if He turned His head
Too busy with His own
So never got involved
With saving other souls.
What if He only saw
The pretty and the clean
And kept safe to Himself
Protected and pristine.
What if He chose the norm
The lofty and esteemed
Tell me where today
Each of us would be.
I wonder often still
What He thinks today
When His own eyes do see
A Church that’s lost its way.

Luke 11:33
“No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.
Revelation 2:5
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
