We never seem to know what God might do in our meetings. What use to make me a little uneasy and feel out of control now makes me excited. The Holy Spirit is a joy to follow.
One of the ladies did a wonderful job teaching us on the story of Ruth. So many beautiful things as we could see our own Boaz for ourselves in Christ.
But as is becoming normal with Jesus, I asked if anyone needed prayer. So we have a special one needing a kidney transplant by Jesus Himself or if He happens to choose to use a precious donor.
I began to pray that she would be given opportunities to share Christ at her upcoming doctor’s appointment. She is wonderfully bold and it has happened often with her. She mentioned that this prayer had also been her prayer.
So we anointed her with oil and began to call for a creative miracle.
I heard someone behind me say, “His presence is so strong right now.”
There came a moment when the Lord began showing one heart a vision of a place in her body that God was shining His light. I placed my hand there and prayed in the Spirit. She seemed to feel a sensation of something she couldn’t quite explain. “Oh Jesus, let it be that you resurrected some kidneys in that moment. You are able!”
As the unction came to begin to prophetically sing over her, I could feel the fire of God so strongly it was evident He was present and working.
We just kept praying.
As I looked to my left, I caught such a beautiful sight of two of the women holding hands and intently focusing on the job at hand. My heart was so full with that glimpse of God’s love! This was indeed a team effort and one of the others soon was given a vision of large feathered, white wings spread over her as the scripture, Psalm 91:4, came to mind.
It made me laugh out loud because she had just brought us the truth in her own teaching of Psalm 91:4, “He will cover you with feathers and under His wings you will find refuge.”
She was teaching us while Jesus all the while was also tending to her.
She shared that many things prayed were exact things she had already heard or things she had been praying herself. That’s Jesus at work in confirmations and unknown to us words of knowledge.
We’re believing for a good report praising God for meeting us again in His kindness. We’ve decided as one of the ladies shared with the group, we don’t need to know everything…
We just do what we know to do and trust Him fully with all the details.
What we do know is this:
Prayer is the line of communication with Christ and He still very much speaks today.
And it’s so lovely when He does.
