If you’ll listen closely
You’ll hear the sweetness of the Lord
In the bird that’s singing
Or the rain as it pours.
You’ll hear Him as the wind blows
As it drifts thru out the leaves
You’ll even hear in the whistling
That sometimes the wind does bring.
You’ll hear Him in the laughter
From the belly of a baby’s joy
Do you wonder if we’re in His image
If He too laughs and roars?
You’ll hear Him at eve as the crickets
Chirp together in full symphony
Or the frogs proclaiming His goodness
As they croak upon the lilies.
You’ll hear Him as waves rush onward
In the serenity of the surf
As the sand is pressed to the shoreline
And the reefs are crashing rough.
In secret you’ll hear Him in quiet
When you silence all of the noise
You’ll hear His presence then enter
As you worship in tears and voice.
