A friend sent me this song a few days ago which has ministered to my heart so very much. As I have spent time with the Lord and listened over and over to it I have been comforted deeply with this beautiful truth. He writes our story. He writes it from a deep love we have yet to understand. He writes from one that sees the beginning and the end all at the same time.
He writes with a heart of protection as any Father would and sees the pitfalls as He closes one door and says there, there, child..not this one. The closing of doors also very well takes us from bearing some fruit..to MUCH fruit. Yet the pruning can be excruciating. We can wrestle it and question it…yet He is still the author. He is the one holding the bow and writing our story into His song. Seems we believe it to be the other way around much of the time don’t we?
Before we were one day old, our entire story was written. For it’s exactly why you and I are here…to fulfill a purpose… His purpose…His ways are not our ways.. indeed. Certainly there are seasons of extreme ache and testing and a heart wondering when the end of it will come. Yet we must trust that the emptiness created in these times is making room for something much more grand…for His sake. In this thought process it seems easier to let go and let God.
I have wondered do tears have a sound to His sweet ear as they fall? We know He bottles them up and watches us with His eye upon us at all times. Some must sound like a drenching downpour while others like the sprinkling of a gentle rain. Yet rain is what waters new blooms, revives dry leaves, and strengthens the roots.
Enjoy this..and maybe think of your tears as the rain…they are preparing you for a pouring out upon others in need of hope…they are part of your story..the one the Lord has already written and He works all things for our good and benefit even when we can not see it naturally. So daily we whisper through the joy and pain and through the rain or shine….“Glory to God”
Psalms 32:7-8
You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
Psalm 33:18
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy..
