Some of you feel that you are unseen. You know what God has placed in you, but it seems like no one else seems to notice, or at least they don’t acknowledge it.
Don’t count yourself out.
Listen.
David didn’t know when he took lunch to the big brothers that He was about to slay a giant and remember, He wasn’t even asked to join the party when the prophet was looking for the king.
However, God saw him.
Nothing, and no one, changed God’s choice.
The Samaritan woman just went to draw a heavy bucket of water from that well and had no idea Jesus, the bridegroom, was about to become her husbandman and make her an evangelist for an entire city.
However, Jesus said, “I need to go to Samaria.” He had her in His sights. She was chosen and no prior laws or cultural restrictions were going to change His mind.
I want to encourage you and also counsel you.
That seed inside you has an appointed time. John the Baptist did not come onto the scene until it was his time to show forth.
The same will be for me and you.
Some of you are in a training season but make no mistake, you are not unseen, and you are simply being prepared.
I am learning more and more of God’s transitional seasons as I walk with Him.
You need to be around people who pull on that gift in you a little bit. If you are surrounded by those not particularly gifted in identifying spiritual gifts and unique elements Christ has placed in you then it could be why you are “not seen.”
There are seasons when you need those who are “ahead” of you in understanding, so they can help you walk into a deeper place with the Lord. These people will help stir up the gifts in you.
I have been so blessed to have spirit-filled people sent by the Lord to help identify gifting in me, I could not see or that needed to be stretched. They also helped me better understand certain giftings because I wasn’t raised in those environments within the church. They challenge me to become every ounce of who Christ has called me to be.
It takes humility to know we must always remain students willing to learn. If we are never honest about our lack, we likely will have too much pride that keeps the more Jesus wants to show us a bit bound. There is no one that has arrived.
If I had stayed in the same places I had always been in, I would have stayed in the same place, spiritually, that I had always been in.
The journey with Christ will require you to MOVE in certain seasons into a place that will cultivate you for the next season. We learn and grow in many places in our walk, and we need to be able to make the shift if we really do want to grow and see all God has for us come to bear fruit.
Some of you are afraid to move. I get it.
However, Jesus said, “Follow Me.”
Ask the Lord to speak into this feeling of being “unseen.” Ask Him if it’s timing or if it is that you need to advance to a new place that will help you grow in your knowledge of Christ, as well as your gifting.
He is faithful to show us when we surrender with all of our hearts to say, “YES,” no matter the answer.
And one final thing:
There is never one single moment where you are unseen by Christ Jesus even if you’re unseen by people. He wants you to become that very warrior He molded in the womb, and He will not stop nudging you onward until you are in your uniquely chosen Kingdom place.
Determine to follow Him at all costs.
