I wonder if it might be surprising when Christ reveals to us what was done in flesh versus “by My Spirit.” I am afraid the flesh has become so normal that we would not notice the Spirit missing. Much of our response is mere emotion rather than the supernatural unction of the Holy Ghost.
“If the H.S. was withdrawn from the church today, 95% of what we do would go on & no one would know the difference.” A.W. Tozer
For when the Spirit of God comes….there is much liberty…lives are changed…miracles happen…ministries are birthed as people are raised up to fulfill their callings, and demons would flee. Addictions would be broken, hearts would be healed, bodies would be made whole, and compassion would compel meeting needs.
What we have been doing in the past years is not working. Might we consider asking the Lord to show us error and deception with spiritual eyes. We have locked out the voice of God and dumbed Him down to human understanding. We have become satisfied with hearing from man…rather than hearing from God. Truly, we are a generation who knows not the difference. If John the Baptist, Paul, Daniel, or Elisha walked in with a Word from God…would we even allow them to speak the message? or would we be as the days of old and reject them…I often wonder if we are the Church in which Paul would dust His feet….
Flesh it forces into a box
One of man and not of God
“Well” it seems, yet life is lost
Nothing changed and little cost.
Ritual and habit praise
Hearts are cold through voices raised
Even demons sit under it’s sound
Raising hands and clapping loud.
See they can, yes, recognize
The difference of the power inside
We, today, are still confined
So demons rarely fear demise.
If the Church would crucify
Wants, desires, expected ties
Rain may come and change our lives
But still, today, the flesh reigns high.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing.
John 6:63
But the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?”
