Some of you have been sent into a state of confusion because of divisions and separations that were unexpected.
A friend and I were talking recently about how the cross we head to has glimpses of the same cross Christ walked to. It must be part of the “Entering into His fellowship of sufferings.”
You’ll likely walk through a season where Judas offers a kiss of betrayal. You’ll likely learn the sting of isolated valleys, the same as Jesus when His own disciples left Him in His hour of need. You’ll even encounter the mocking of His gifts in you from those Paul mentions…” If it had been my enemy…but it was you…”
One that was brought to me this very week was the moment Peter denied even knowing Jesus.
Have you been there, friend? When in a sudden moment some washed their hands of you, stepped back, and acted like they never knew you?
It’s likely one of the worst pains you’ll ever encounter. When God peels back a veil to show you the truth of hearts that you thought were for you even unto death. Yet, in your hour of need, they watched you die from a distance.
Jesus knows intimately this kind of pain.
While divine separations do occur, so do demonic divisions. In the end, both can happen simultaneously for God to get you where you need to be. He wastes no time turning the tide when the enemy comes in like a flood.
Peter is the best-case scenario because He returns with Godly sorrow. That is not always the case. Pride rules many today, and we are seeing the truth of those whose love has grown colder and colder. Many even use what seem to be plausible reasons for their decisions, but Jesus knows the heart of the matter, nonetheless.
You’ve likely endured storms with some that left you in yours. You gave all you had and stayed close in needy seasons, but you were found alone in yours, left in handcuffs of demonic assaults that you had to fight all of Hell to get free from.
We find Joseph using his dream interpretation gift to meet needs in prison. His only request was to be remembered. Yet, he was not, and consequently left for a few more unnecessary years to endure his pain. I’m certain he wondered where mercy was. Yet, Joseph is a type of Christ and tells us the story of very often issues that occur even in Kingdom life. Perhaps the most significant scripture in the story of Joseph is this: “But God was with Joseph.”
There are many heart issues you’ll have to rise above or try hard to bury, so you can move forward with Christ. Jesus kept on with His mission. His assignment never wavered. Nor can yours.
The pains of this life must not be louder than the call of Christ to “Follow me.”
Some nets you’ll have to drop include those who acted like they never knew you. It’s time to move along.
In times when I’ve endured similar situations, Jesus gave me 3 dreams and exposed what had happened behind the scenes. Somebody had enough weight and influence to cause a demonic division. In those dreams was God’s mercy to settle my heart from its own condemnations and wonderings of “If I could have done something different or more to fix things.” That wrestling in itself can bring a deep mental torment of the enemy to any life.
Let me lay to rest some of your deepest heart whispers.
It wasn’t God and it wasn’t you.
It was Hell’s perfectly orchestrated assignment to take you out.
Now that it’s been settled, you have a choice to make.
Use it for the Kingdom…or it will continue to use you.
