It takes a deepened commitment to longevity and a constant fierce battle to stay the course with Christ Jesus.
Can you imagine what David went through as Saul continually tried to find him and kill him? He had little rest from the war. What if he had quit because the battle was so tough?
He didn’t go to church to sing a few songs and shake a few hands until the next week. You didn’t find him playing around with calling and shoving the Lord’s commands to the side. No, it was a lifestyle of daily obedience.
What about Elijah?
Raise your hand if you want to feel the weight of a call to take out prophets of Baal and undergo the hellish vengeance of Jezebel.
This is the reality for many in the frontline war in the ranks of the army of God.
If you’re living a life without battle, perhaps you and Jesus have parted ways somewhere, for this is not a fight for a “fair-weather” Christian. Oh no, Jesus is raising up an end-time army that will carry His Glory. These are those who have lost their own lives that He might live in, and through, them.
It is not that He loves anyone less, or more, but that He must be able to trust His soldiers to do their job.
If you’re afraid of the devil, deliverance will be but a shadow for those around you. If commitment is shallow, you’ll get what you give. If self-exaltation is your deepest passion, it will last but a moment.
But if you have surrendered under the hand of God, drank the fullness of His cup, and said, “Though none go with me, I still will follow…,” you will see the wonders He does in the deep waters.
I call out of you in the name of Jesus any lukewarm heart that hinders the Glory of God in your life. I pull down every idol that has kept you complacent, and I speak directly to the reasonings that put to death your calling.
Is He your God or not?
With a merciful heart, I plead with you to stop showing up for the platform moments and learn to plow the field when no one else sees. Learn to prevail in deep prayer against the enemy and lose all the surface “Christian-ease.” Devils do not fear it in the least.
Stop being so “nice” with demons. Learn to command their eviction. Let the Jesus in you loose! Go after the darkness in lives and set the people free! If they reject it, move on. Someone else is waiting for freedom. It is our mandate.
I believe in the absolute gentleness of God. But with that same gentle Spirit also comes Heaven’s power to turn Hell on its hind end.
Do you want to be a part of what God is doing on the earth, or not?
He is sending out a call.
The battle is here. He is rallying the troops. Many will refuse to report for duty.
Instead of carrying His Glory into rooms and lives, they will choose to carry on with life’s ebb and flow.
It is a now or never moment, friends. Some things do not come around again. Remember Noah. The door eventually closed leaving many on the outside and only a few going with God.
