There’s no need to grapple for platforms or plead for positions-learn to wait upon the Lord.
Prayer is my hardest work and that which I labor in most. It is the drawing near to Christ and walking in the Spirit. Prayer brings divine direction so that you know when and where to, “Go.”
Holy Spirit has a plan that I’ve learned to just watch unfold. Years ago I would have run to every invitation and been bull-headed, flying through every new “God thing” that reared its head.
Problem was, plenty of it wasn’t God at all.
I used to fret over “getting somewhere” and I’m learning I’d rather go nowhere if I am not being sent “there.”
Many go, but perhaps few are sent. Hence, our current state of affairs in our ineffectiveness at times in the body. Kingdom “busyness” is not always Kingdom business.
It cannot be a wave of emotion or the promise of a platform that captures my heart and “Yes.” It must be a sure call of God that I hear before I give my nod.
I’ve recounted many times, the enemy walking me into a place of deception because I was too eager for a platform. Many webs of deceit were formed that I noticed subtly but refused to see and address. Eventually, my fleshly “Go” turned into a “Gotcha” moment for the devil.
Listen, do you have any idea how hard it is to get out of a nicely spun spiritual spider’s web?
I used to follow anyone and everyone into “this or that” before I was secure enough to realize that I shouldn’t just run to and fro hastily for a place that was never assigned to me. There is a beautiful revelation for the heart that finally understands your position in the Kingdom is truly one of assigned seating. Because of that, I use my “No” far more than I use my “Yes” these days.
I have a seat to maintain and a wall to build. You shall not find me vacating my assignment for every alluring spotlight.
Can I be a bit bold and say something I wish I could have understood in my younger years with Jesus?
Some of you keep trying to mirror others rather than mirroring Christ. You keep playing musical chairs for your kingdom seat when there is a unique spot already assigned to you. However, you’ve gotten enamored with what others carry. The footsteps you’re following are human rather than God’s, and it eventually comes crashing down. I’ve been so guilty of this in the past. Trust me. It’s not worth it in the least.
Some of you are also in the wrong seats, and you’re rebelliously committed to staying there. Remember, rebellion is as witchcraft and while you stay there, Hell is actually applauding their success because your pride and jealousy has caused you to forfeit your God-given seat. What a shame!
How about we press into our assigned seating? That place of anointing and grace is set aside for you to operate with exceptional influence and power.
Isn’t that a much better option than the exhaustion of musical chairs?
Christ’s body is beautifully unique and full of His glory! Every member is profoundly needed, and no counterfeit will be allowed with Him.
So let’s just stop with the coveting…get into your assigned seat. Your nameplate at the table was written by the King, Himself.
What is yours is still waiting for YOU. No one else. But you’ll have to get into your divine assigned seat.
Food for thought: No plane takes off until everyone is in their assigned seat. (If you want to fly with Jesus, the same will be true)
