It is well to know what the scriptures say regarding authority in Christ. It is quite another matter to apply it in any given situation in real life.
The devil knows well whether I truly understand my authority or I merely like to talk about it.
He knows whether he can stay in my rooms because I’ll not confront him or whether he might want to exit when I enter because, one way or another, I’m coming for him.
There is a shuddering of all Hell right now as they watch a remnant that will stand wholly in God-given authority. Mind you, they won’t just stand in it, but they will apply it.
Through fierce faith and revelation of The Word is an unruly remnant that religion can’t touch. Devils love religion. They invented it. They don’t mind sitting in the pews of a religious church or hanging out among their friends moved by religious spirits. They stay as long as they like because hearts are set on lesser things, including self, rather than divine commissions and commands to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out devils, so men can be free.
Come on, friends, where are the prison door openers in our day?
But, WOAH, watch Hell get nervous at the sight of a disciple who doesn’t negotiate with the devil. Listen for the doors flinging open as they run for the hills all at once because some soul on earth has a renowned name in all of Hell as a dragon slayer. Listen for the cheer of the heavenly hosts as an army rises up who have come to serve notice to the devils of darkness that they carry GLORY and will not shrink back in the least. This is war, and we fight for the freedom of mankind.
When someone is in the room who understands who they are in Jesus and what He, through them, can do…demons will flee. I assure you.
Apply your authority, saints, meaning put it to work.
Pray like you mean it. Declare like you know it. To convince that devil you know what you wield, you’ll need to convince yourself first.
