It has come to my attention the zealousness of God when He is making a heart into a steady soldier. When in all of our limited understanding we misstep, He might dearly wound us to teach us.
Within our hearts will be felt a heavyweight of His, and it might be difficult to bear. In essence, when we wound Him, we will feel as the temple of His that same wound.
His wound becomes our wound, and thus we feel the deep grief of our God.
How must compassion come at times without a reckoning with the Almighty? Perhaps it’s the same as the butterfly struggling in the cocoon to become what she was always meant to be. The squeezing, the tight space, the metamorphosis into an entirely other being, and the brink of the unknown must be surely a frightful experience before her glorious birth.
The wound of a friend such as Him is a lasting impression that brings a deep correction necessary for King and Kingdom.
Although we are in the middle of a God wound, Grace is still readily available and all unintended steps become feet well-trained for the next upcoming battle.
A sudden calamity will have the potential of a powerful grip of knowledge and wisdom that Hell will indeed need to fear. Every error becomes a trained arrow in the soldier’s hand, and that bow will then shoot a more properly pointed tool to the next target. A lesson has been learned, and we are made better students for The Teacher.
A fall is likely the best moment in our walk with Christ. A blunder will become plunder, and the spoils of an intense battle will be given to those who humbly receive His correction.
Not one thing is wasted in a willing heart. God knows the heart and how often our missteps were entirely unintended. Yet, He uses the moment for a school lesson with Holy Ghost and the army of Christ is now better for it.
What a gracious Savior to open up His own pain to humanity and teach us with grace during a God wound.
