The River That Flows

The River That Flows

The River That Flows

Ezekiel 47 1-12

There is a river that flows afresh. It’s full of healing for thirsty souls. A mere drink of it is never enough for it has a unique drawing ability.

This river is special in that it flows from the sanctuary. A sanctuary is a place of consecration. A holy place.

Wherever the river runs, life is given to all living things.

The river feeds trees of righteousness whereby their leaves and fruit never fail and are always feeding passers-by.

Some have settled for stagnant waters and rest now in swamps and marshes. The water doesn’t move there…so there is no life.

The river gets deeper and deeper as you walk in it. First your ankles, then knees, then loins….until finally, the river is so deep you are submerged fully. This is going from glory to glory and strength to strength. There is always more with Jesus.

Here in the deep resides many miracles. It’s as if you’ve climbed into the inner parts of God’s heart. He has opened new doors of His likeness and love and healing overcomes you from head to toe.

The river is refreshing. Cleansing.

It runs through every hidden recess of your heart to deal inwardly with every sin bent and heart pain.

You’ll find as the river brings life that your wounds will be tended by the deep love of this living water that flows.

You’ll emerge with new sight and fresh perspective. Love will prevail most and you’ll climb up on the bank prepared to receive others needing your healing leaves and fruit to feed on.

You will become a new tree of righteousness now budding with heavenly purpose.

Sadly, some stop at the ankle-deep waters while others joyfully pursue the swimming waters. Many miss out as they choose to stay in the shallow. For it is the deep waters that hold the wonders of the Lord.

Righteousness has a way with you as you learn to swim in the deep waters. Desires change. Life is abundant. Healing is present.

Won’t you come to The River that flows and swim in the deep?

THE RIVER

“It’s a rising”

Do you hear the water swell?

And where the river runs

Life will soon live there.

It washes well the heart of man

It flourishes the vines.

The fruit will grow abundantly

With nourishment so kind.

But, do you see the journey well

The waters you must go through?

At first it shall be ankle-deep

These trials will not consume.

But, hence again, the waters rise

Your knees will then be wet.

For Christ is gaining access to

The heart in greater depths.

You shall not go around the crest

Each time He’ll take you THROUGH.

Until the river rises high

He then must carry you.

You’ll notice in your greatest trials

The trees are growing yet

The water has quenched them of a thirst

An “inner need” He’s met.

THE RIVER is “source” to many trees

Who reside along the bank

But if you’ll pay attention close

The VALLEY is the route He takes.

It shall be near your deepest trial

The river now consumes

But in His Majesty’s design

Comes a great, now, multitude.

There’s now a SEA of healing drops

And countless, many fish

“Exceeding many that your love

Will tend, for they are sick.

You’ll spread your nets and drag the lame

You’ll feed them food and drink

THE RIVER, now, it lives in you

Flowing from His sanctuary.
