Simple Faith

There are things I don’t know how to handle

But I choose very simple faith.

That Christ is who He says He is

And in Him I lack no grace.

There are people who need to be set free

Where strongholds tie them down

But when I’m weak The Christ is strong

So simple faith must abound.

There is a wrestling with the dark

To uncoil a snake that’s strong

But simple faith rises up

To declare the snake, “Be gone!”

I see two choices men must make

And I surely think it’s time

To contend with devils without fear

Where simple faith does shine.

So all the unbelief now goes

For freedom Christ did come

And when we rise and be the Church

Simple faith shall return.

Faith isn’t hope it must go first

You must see it before you see it

And call those things that aren’t as done

Faith will be there where you meet it.

So what is that thing that you’ve delayed

For Christ does say, Go First

And when your feet in water step

You’ll see that faith gives birth.
