We had a wonderful time with a room full of girls, young and younger. The new magazine was a wonderful tool and they loved it. the crowning ceremony as always was special. I think I still find it as profound for the women as the younger girls. Somehow in our years, we forget the way Jesus sees us. He is still a Father to His little girls. Time, circumstances, and the pains of life distort our view of His heart very often. The very childlike (ness) He longs us to have, we lose somewhere on our individual paths.
This generation of girls is so smart. Wise beyond their years. They long for honest conversations and practical, “show me what this means today..” kind of teaching. Jesus is showing us how many ways of teaching are important so that we touch the unique heart He created. Not all hear and see the same way. The pillowcase tool with our Daisy Bible study lesson was perfect! It makes it hard to forget what the Daisy means..and their little heads get to sleep on it every night. I’m reminded as I type this how He healed differently people in His Word. Some had to feel the weight of a prophet laying on them while others were merely spoken to. Others, He spit in the dirt and rubbed their eyes. Others, like Peter, well a mere glance by the Savior was enough to heal a betraying heart. It is my deepest prayer for words of knowledge to be given us to minister according to each need. We pray amiss often…without touching Heaven…
We are praying about more events like this. It was a full day of teaching. Not a lot of hype just deep digging into His Word and using activities that helped them understand better. One of the ladies from the Church kept saying, THIS IS SO RICH! She is a teacher so she encouraged us that from a teacher’s perspective we were using all the tools in our tool-belt to reach the heart of the girls. This gave us much confirmation to continue the path Jesus has set before us.
Having our counselor, Jan Thompson, Breckett Wilson, and Kerri Crocker really gave us an opportunity to share on a panel our own stories and how Jesus works with each of us. We did not expect the Lord to guide teaching into Spiritual gifts, but He did and I am finding this is very much His heart in this hour for us and the young ones. So necessary for them to fulfill the call on their lives in this hour. May we lead them to this supernatural life with Christ and leave behind the works of the flesh we often offer.
The crowning ceremony was again special for the girls and the women. It always touches my heart so. We had a sweet one ask for Jesus after and we left there with her in good hands among some beautiful women who loved them so much. It was a beautiful day.
