In Deborah is the Spirit calling out to me to become a mighty warrior daughter.
A daughter who innately cares for the sheep and is known as a Mother to many without a Father.
While she tenderly listens to each critical case and exhibits a healing heart, she is well versed in judging righteously. She does not compromise the truth and I can almost see her gaze with a discerning heart as she listens to the court room antics. Her palm tree offers much needed shade and reminds her of her appointed job.
She calls out to me today and reminds me of the call to battle and war. “Prepare the handmaidens, she says.”For this war is impartial and knocks on every door. No one shall escape.
Who knows if she was dressed in lace as a little girl. Perhaps she was enamored by ruffles with satin bows.
But be sure in time a soldier she became and the bow that she held loosed arrows in the Lord’s name.
Perhaps her husband wasn’t weak at all, he was merely very wise. For he knew the strengths the Lord had given his dear wife. Inside was an unction to leave her not behind. He merely desired to fight with her side by side.
She led into battle an army so fierce for in those days a judge was fully equipped. A leader ordained to bring about peace, arise did a woman to calm all the streets.
I can hear her even now whispering into generations of daughters to arise to the calling of the Most High. She likely echoes Paul’s Heart, “Fulfill your Ministry…” do not be shy…
She comes back from battle dancing and singing. The people erupt in praise! A song that resounds for generations to come. HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE!
She must have been tired. She probably wanted to rest. Perhaps she and Barak went home to prepare a celebratory meal and offer more thanks to the Lord for His help.
As she prays, her voice echoes into the future. She speaks into the daughters not yet born. On Heavens winds and by His righteous right hand He honors this daughter of war.
If you listen closely, you may hear the Lord ever sweetly calling you to arise. For soon will be faith enough to proclaim more than you ever realized.
And in the blink of an eye comes a rushing wind of POWER endued from on high…
… that draws out from your very own voice in sheer surprise…
I AM DEBORAH..
