Your Kindest of Ways

I had the privilege of sitting with a few broken hearts this past week. Each time I felt complete inadequacy to help them so I would whisper, “Lord, help me help them..” There were moments when my knowledge would want to share one thing…but the Lord would give me clear direction on what each heart needed. So beautiful how simple it is when He is leading. He knows the road they have been on …sometimes I find what typically would be our normal approach with someone is not always the right way for a particular heart…often we must know the past pains and wounds so not to cause further harm with those who have been on a broken road. It reminds me of the old hymn lyrics, “Jesus is tenderly calling…” He is so tender with the lambs. So kind. So gentle. We must too learn His ways that we may be able to love many back to Him…even when the truth seems hard, His kindness ushers it in so that it may truly set one free.

And pursuing each face

To lower such pain

To judge ever harshly

Our selfish hearts gained.

For mine evil plots.
