The Cup

There is a cup that few fully drink
It’s the fullness of Christ the King
Where the cost will cost you everything
And through death is life abundantly.
It’s a cup to which you’ve agreed
To surrender to Him all things
Your money, your will, and your time
Your dreams, and every ounce of your life.
It’s a cup for the faithful who know
Their lives will be lost as they go
Where comfort was left long ago
For the glory of Heaven’s Bestowed.
It’s the cup, too, of sorrows and joys
Where Christ shares His heart with yours
And you learn you’re a bondslave to the King
Yet, in life or death, You still sing.
